Neptune: “Reality Is Optional”

Neptune is that friend who shows up barefoot, smelling like incense, talking about a dream they had that “felt like a message.”

In astrology, Neptune is the ruler of vibes, illusions, intuition, delusion, and the urge to escape into something softer than reality.

It’s gorgeous, it’s chaotic, it’s confusing, and it absolutely does not care about your to‑do list.

What Neptune Does

  • Makes everything dreamy

    • Art, music, poetry, film, fantasy, daydreaming

  • Turns intuition all the way up

    • Gut feelings; weird coincidences that feel like signs

  • Dissolves boundaries

    • Sometimes this is spiritual. Sometimes this is “why did I say yes to that.”

  • Creates illusions

    • Romanticizing, projecting, glamorizing, deluding yourself. Neptune is the original catfish.

  • Encourages escapism

    • Meditation, naps, wine, Pinterest, Netflix, spiritual retreats, etc.

Neptune is basically the planet of “I’m not avoiding reality, I’m just… transcending.”

Neptune in Your Chart

Neptune’s sign is generational, but its house and aspects show where you:

  • get intuitive

  • get inspired

  • get confused

  • get idealistic

  • get spiritually cracked open

It’s the part of your chart that’s: “wow, that’s beautiful” but also “wow, that’s a red flag.”
